About
Shahed used to be the guy yelling “Ship it!” on demo day. Every feature, every demo, for years. People still bring it up.
He doesn’t say it much anymore. Not because shipping stopped mattering, but because it stopped being the hard part. AI made shipping cheap. Knowing whether you should is the hard part now. That’s the entire reason Klarifi exists.
Background
Shahed spent a decade — 2012 to 2022 — scaling Galvanize, a governance and compliance (GRC) platform, from $1M to $100M in annual revenue as VP of Product, leading a 60-plus person global product team across Vancouver, Bangalore, and London, through a $1B acquisition by Diligent. That work included leading ISO 27001, SOC 2, and FedRAMP certification.
After a sabbatical and some angel investing, he served as Chief Product & Technology Officer at Boast AI (October 2023–April 2025), leading an AI transformation on two fronts at once: rebuilding how the company built software around AI-first tooling, and putting agentic AI into live R&D tax service delivery — work that drove a 30% efficiency gain and a 25% increase in average contract value.
He has deep, hands-on AI skills most executives at his level delegate — prompt engineering, agentic workflow design, LLM API integration — and has built multiple AI-native products from concept to production in under three weeks each.
Why this matters
Shahed has personally lived both halves of the Klarifi thesis: he scaled a product at real scale — the build side, proven, not theoretical — and built and sold go-to-market and positioning offerings directly — the market side, also proven. Most consultants are credible on one side. He’s run both.
How Klarifi operates
Solo practice, plus collaborators brought in for specific engagements as needed. No bench, no team, no agency overhead.
